Asbury University has long been a top choice for homeschool families and students of Great Books or Classical Education programs.

Homeschool applicants to the traditional undergraduate program submit an official transcript showing courses taken, grades earned, class rank (if available), and cumulative GPA through at least the junior year. The transcript should include the student's full legal name, birth date, home address, high school name (if your homeschool does not have a name, use your last name followed by the word "Homeschool"), high school address and telephone number, an indication of high school type (public, private, or homeschool), and the cumulative grade point average. The final official transcript (awarded after graduation) must additionally include grade-12 final grades and the high school graduation date (the date the diploma was conferred). High school transcripts are evaluated on a four-point scale: A (4.0), B (3.0), C (2.0), D (1.0), F (0.0).

Homeschool-specific certification: incoming freshmen or transfer students with fewer than 30 semester hours of university credit who have completed any portion of their secondary education through homeschooling are required to provide certification of completion of a homeschool program and documentation of all coursework completed. Transcripts may be emailed as a PDF, mailed, or hand-delivered (sealed) to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. There is no homeschool-specific test requirement — Asbury is fully test optional for all applicants, including homeschoolers.
