As a home-schooled student you have no doubt played an active role in the shaping of your educational experience. At Dickinson College we recognize that this requires independent, creative thought, self-discipline and leadership.

1. Application for Admission (Common Application) 2. Essay (see Common App for topics) 3. Resume of activities, experiences and leadership positions from the equivalent of grades 9-12 4. Grade report (transcript), evaluator's report and/or sample works by the student in a variety of subjects spanning grades 9-12 5. Transcript of any courses taken at traditional high school, community college or college 6. Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher\*; the other from an evaluator, a second teacher, an employer or another adult who can effectively assess your achievement 7. One of the following:

  • Diploma from a state-recognized source
  • GED
  • Comprehensive representation of the student's grades 9-12 curriculum via portfolio, course outlines, syllabi or log book.
