Applicant guide

Florida College is very homeschool-friendly and does not impose any additional requirements on homeschooled applicants beyond those required of all students. The college welcomes homeschoolers and has designed a straightforward application process that recognizes the flexibility of home education. Homeschooled students are allowed to submit transcripts that are created by the parent or guardian, and there is no need for the transcript to be notarized or issued by a third party. A parent’s signature on the transcript is sufficient for verification. Like all applicants, homeschoolers are required to submit standardized test scores. Florida College accepts the ACT, SAT, or CLT (Classical Learning Test), with many homeschool students choosing to submit CLT scores. This flexible and inclusive policy reflects Florida College’s strong support for homeschooled students and its recognition of the academic rigor that can be achieved through nontraditional education paths.
