HPU recognizes that homeschooled students bring unique qualities, and welcomes applications from students who have been home-schooled for some or all of their education. HPU considers a home-school student if the majority of your high school career has taken place, or if your high school career will conclude, outside of the traditional academic setting. If a student is following an accredited home school program, the published curriculum is required as part of the review process. Transcripts from any coursework taken at a traditional high school or at the college-level during the student’s high school career are also required if applicable.

Students must submit an official transcript that outlines the home school curriculum. It must include:

• Course Name/Title
• Length of Study
• Course Description
• Grade

The more information that can be provided or documented will assist the admission committee with academic context. This may include but not limited to syllabi, and complete reading lists and method(s) of instruction.
